Services We provide small and large animal health care as well as preventative care.  Doctor Holmes also specializes in exotic birds, snakes, ferrets, and most any other species of wildlife.  Dr. Holmes is one of south Georgia's only wildlife rehibilitators.      We take great pride in caring for our patients with the lastest advances in veterinary technology and, above all, love. Services Offered Complete laboratory diagnostic services including our own in-hospital blood analysis, blood chemistries, heartworm testing, and feline leukemia and FIV testing. Urinalysis Electrocardiogram X-rays Complete dental prophylaxis Complete monitoring of surgical patients with respiratory and cardiac monitors including pulse oximetry. Allergy testing and hypo sensitization Inhalation anesthesia Nutritional counseling Orthopedic and soft tissue surgery Nursing care and paramedical care by qualified veterinary nurses.   Surgery Surgeries are performed Monday through Friday by appointment. Please call about 5-7 days prior to when you would like the surgery scheduled. It is required that your pet have his/her vaccinations within the past year before being hospitalized. Specific instructions will be given to you when you schedule the surgery. We offer all surgical and dental patients pre-surgical blood work to ensure their safety while under anesthesia.   Emergency Services Our hospital provides emergency service during office hours.  If you have an emergency situation, call our number,912-285-7044, and we will handle the emergency.  If you call outside of our normal hours your call will be immediately answered by our answering machine and you will be give Dr. Holmes emergency pager number which is 912-287-8617.  In either case, your pet can receive emergency care 24 hours a day. Do not wait for the hospital to open in the event of an emergency.  Sometimes just an hour can mean the difference between life and death for your beloved pet.
